The Sound of White is the debut album by Australian female artist Missy Higgins, released by Eleven in September 2004 (see 2004 in music). Critics heralded the album as a superb debut and it achieved massive commercial success, reaching number one on the Australian album chart and selling over 560,000 copies being accredited platinum nine times.
